Privacy policy
InkClient is a product of Bonehead Digital, a sole trader business operated by Thomas Hablous in New Zealand. This policy covers inkclient.com and the enquiries we take through it.
What we collect
When you fill in a form on this site, we collect your name, studio name, Instagram handle, mobile number, email address, how many artists work at your studio, and anything you write in the message box.
We also collect basic information about your visit: pages viewed, the site or ad you arrived from, rough location from your IP address, and device and browser type. If you reply to a text or email from us, we keep that conversation.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and work out whether InkClient suits your studio.
- To send you information you asked for, by text or email.
- To run and improve our advertising, including measuring which ads lead to enquiries.
- To keep records we are required to keep, and to sort out any dispute.
You do not have to give us any of it. Without your contact details we cannot reply to you.
Texts and emails
If you tick the consent box, we may text and email you about your enquiry. Reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email, and we will stop. We do not sell your details and we do not send them to other businesses for marketing.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses cookies and similar technology, including the Meta pixel, to see how people find and use the site and to measure our ads. Meta may match that activity to a Facebook or Instagram account. You can turn cookies off in your browser, and you can change your ad settings inside Facebook and Instagram. Turning them off does not stop you using this site.
Who else handles your information
- HighLevel (CRM, forms, texts and email), stored on servers in the United States.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising and messaging).
- Stripe, if you ever pay us.
- Our accountant, insurer or lawyer, where they need it.
- A government agency or court, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store information overseas, mainly in the United States. Privacy laws there differ from those in New Zealand and Australia.
Information belonging to your studio's clients
If you become an InkClient customer, we handle enquiries from your clients on your behalf. Your studio decides what happens with that information, and we act on your instructions. We never ask for or store health or medical information about your clients.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to seven years, which covers our tax and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete yours sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will answer within 20 working days.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand (privacy.org.nz), or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are in Australia (oaic.gov.au).
Security
We use reputable providers, keep access to your information limited to people who need it, and protect our accounts with two-factor logins. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that puts you at risk of serious harm, we will tell you and the relevant privacy regulator.
Children
This site is for people running tattoo studios. It is not aimed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
